Whitetail Photo Essay

by Tim Christie

9/11/2009

Here's some eye candy for all you whitetail fans out there!

In some parts of the country, bowhunters and their Hoyts are already pursuing whitetails. If you haven’t had a chance to hit the whitetail woods yet - or if you just need a little inspiration - we offer this awesome photo essay from veteran photographer Tim Christie. Tim trailed this buck over the course of a year and captured images of him throughout the seasons in velvet, stripping velvet, and in hard antler.

Tim Christie is a household name in outdoor photography. His camera has lead him to the swamps and bayous of Florida, to Alaska's blood-red tundra in the fall, to the parched country of Southern Texas, to the mountain basins of the Canadian Rockies and back to the plains of his native state, Montana.

Tim's photos have been chosen for the covers of over 600 publications, appear within the pages of many more magazines, in calendars, books, advertising campaigns, catalogs, product packaging, Web sites, the tail of a commercial airliner and as decorative art in commercial establishments and private homes all over the world.
