Team Hoyt Sweeps Lancaster

LANCASTER, PA — Judging by the showing Team Hoyt had at the much-anticipated 5th Annual Lancaster Archery Classic, it’s going to be yet another year of solid shooting and medal-winning indoor performances. With a field that included some of the best shooters in the country, Team Hoyt once again proved its shooters are the ones to beat.

In the Men’s Unlimited Division, a pair of perennial podium toppers – Hoyt’s Reo Wilde and Dave Cousins – finished strong once again. Wilde bested the field and walked away with the gold, while Cousins – who posted the pack’s highest qualifying score – also shot his way to the podium with a solid third place finish.

The Men's Limited Division witnessed an amazing feat, as Team Hoyt's Joe McGlyn - the sole recurve shooter in that division - took second place with his Hoyt Helix/900CX. Given that he had to shoot against a field of top finger compound shooters makes McGlyn's recurve accomplishment all the more impressive.

Team Hoyt’s ladies fared equally as well. Jamie Van Natta clung to a narrow lead to outlast the field and claim the gold – finishing just ahead of her Hoyt teammate Christie Colin.

Hoyt would like to congratulate all of its shooters for another outstanding showing at the Lancaster Archery Classic.
