Porec, Croatia hosted scores of the world's top archers for Stage Two of the 2008 Meteksan World Cup April 15-19, and Team Hoyt continued the podium-topping run it enjoyed at Stage One in the Dominican Republic just two weeks prior.
In Men's Compound action, Hoyt's Sergio Pagni (ITA) earned the top spot, outlasting Hoyt teammate Roberval Dos Santos (BRA) in the gold medal match. The Men's Recurve Division saw Im Dong Hyung (KOR) and his Hoyt finish strong with a one-pont victory in the bronze medal match.
The Women's Compound competition was equally exciting, as a pair of Hoyt shooters - Amandine Bouillot (FRA) and Nichola Simpson (GBR) - battled for first place. In the end, Bouillot posted a one-point victory over her Hoyt teammate to claim the gold medal. Angela Gales (GBR) and her Hoyt shot their way to a one-point margin over Hoyt teammate Anne Laurila (FIN) to take home the bronze medal.
Stage Three of the Meteksan World Cup will be held May 27-31 in Antalya, Turkey, where Team Hoyt will look to continue its World Cup dominance.
