Hoyt Pro Staff's Natalia Valeeva leads World Cup standings

6/02/2008

Clinches spot in finals

With a total of 51 points after the just-concluded World Cup Stage 3 in Turkey, Hoyt's Natalia Valeeva is the points leader on the World Cup circuit with one last event, in Boe, France, still ahead before the Grand Finals later in the season.  With the third leg of the World Cup in the history books Valeeva is locked for the Grand Final.

Valeeva, who also clinched her fifth Olympic team berth a few days ago, has enjoyed an unbelievable season starting with her stunning victory in the World Championships, which gave her more FITA World Champion titles than any other shooter, male or female, in modern history.

She continued her momentum with victory in the first World Cup stage of the season in the Dominican Republic, and after another solid performance in Turkey she is first to clinch a Grand Finals berth with even more points to be earned at Stage Four in Boe France later in June.
