Team Hoyt Owns Outdoor Nationals

COLORADO SPRINGS - The podium at the recent NAA Outdoor Nationals was claimed by Hoyt shooters throughout the tournament, as Hoyt Pro Staffers dominated every division. Jess Broadwater led the charge, shooting an amazing 1407 (twice) in his first-ever Full FITA. Broadwater hung on to finish first in the Men's Compound Division and outlast his Hoyt teammate Dave Cousins, who finished strong in second place right behind Broadwater.

In the Women's Compound Division, Team Hoyt's ladies swept the podium, with Jamie Van Natta posting incredible rounds of 1403 and 1408 to win the tournament for the fifth consecutive year. Finishing second and third for Team Hoyt in the Women's Compound Division were Erika Anschutz and Christie Colin, respectively.

Hoyt's recurve shooters also enjoyed a very strong showing, as they posted a clean sweep in the Men's Recurve Division. Dan Schuller finished in first place, Jason McKittrick took second place and Joe McGlyn finished third. In the Women's Recurve Division, Team Hoyt's Karen Scavotto won first place.

The last day of the Outdoor Nationals featured the U.S. Open competition - an elimination-style Olympic Round - in which the top 64 shooters in each division went head-to-head. In Men's Compound action, Jesse Broadwater continued his stellar shooting and won every match to claim the gold, and Hoyt's Reo Wilde shot his way to a third-place finish. In the Women's Compound matches, Jamie Van Natta continued her impressive run and claimed the top spot, with Samantha Pruitte - a junior shooter - posting an impressive second-place finish. On the recurve side, Tim Meyers and Karen Scavotto and their Hoyts took first place.

The tournament concluded with the NAA Shooter of the Year Awards ceremony, with Dave Cousins and Jamie Van Natta receiving the prestigious honors.

Hoyt would like to congratulate Jesse Broadwater on his incredible first-ever FITA performance, Dave Cousins and Jamie Van Natta for their stellar shooting and Shooter of the Year honors, and all of the other compound and recurve Hoyt shooters who found the podium and represented Hoyt at the NAA Outdoor Nationals.
