Team Hoyt compounds sweep 09 World Cup Stage One

Total compound sweep of all medals

APRIL 7, 2009- Santo Domingo, DOM

Team Hoyt\'s compound shooters cleaned house in the Dominican Republic, where the first outdoor world class event of 2009 took place this past week.  Battling searing heat and high winds, Team Hoyt took every single medal in the first stage of the 2009 Archery World Cup.

Leading the charge was Hoyt\'s Braden Gellenthein (USA), defeating fellow Team Hoyt shooter Patrizio Hofer (SUI) in the gold medal finals.  Hoyt\'s Brittany Lorenti (USA) defeated her USA and Hoyt teammate Jamie Van Natta defending her 2008 title in the gold medal final.  Hoyt\'s Peter Elzinga (NED) and Diane Watson (USA) closed out the Hoyt trifecta with their respective bronze medals in the finals.  Team Hoyt also delivered the only 1400+ scores in the windy conditions, with Dave Cousins scoring 1402/110-10 and Reo Wilde with 1402/109-10.

Also in the finals were Hoyt shooters Olga Bosch (VEN) and Rigoberto Hernandex (ESA)- making it a total Hoyt lock on the finals.
