Top Archers Rely on Hoyt Recurve for Current Olympiad

Team Hoyt

American Brady Ellison, GB’s Simon Terry, and Olympic Champions Marco Galiazzo and Viktor Ruban adopt Formula System

“I’ve been shooting Hoyt throughout my comeback, posting my highest scores ever, and having shot the new Formula series, I can see that there’s simply no better choice.  For me, it’s Hoyt all the way to 2012.”

With that in mind, top-ranked UK archer and Olympic Bronze Medalist Simon Terry has signed a three-year equipment support agreement with Hoyt, covering the period between now and the next Olympic Games in London, and beyond.

GBR’s “Silver Fox” has had an unprecedented comeback from his 1992 post-Olympic retirement, returning to archery and picking up a Hoyt in 2006 where he blazed to the forefront of European and World archery.  Besides setting a new British and European record, Simon has medaled in the 07 World Championship, multiple World Cup events, and the Grand Final in Copenhagen this past year.

Hoyt is proud to support great athletes like Simon Terry.  Hoyt Senior Recurve Engineer George Tekmitchov said  "With the upcoming Olympic Games in London, there's more media focus and pressure on GBR's top shooters than ever before.  Simon's confidence in Hoyt means he can simply work on what he does best- shooting at a tremendous level".

Simon joins other top shooters such as 2008 Olympic Champion Viktor Ruban of the Ukraine in committing to Hoyt bows through 2012.

They join 2004 Olympic Champion Marco Galiazzo of Italy, American multiple Olympic medalist Butch Johnson, multiple World Champion and Olympic medalist Natalia Valeeva of Italy, 1984 and 2004 Olympic medalist Hiroshi Yamamoto of Japan, and World Champion and Olympic Medalist Berengere Schuh of France along with dozens of other top-ranked shooters around the world, all of whom have again chosen Hoyt as their exclusive choice of recurve bow entering the current Olympiad.

In addition, Hoyt welcomes top American recurve shooter and past compound junior World Champion Brady Ellison to the Hoyt family for the period leading up to the London Games and beyond.  Brady, who represented the USA in the Beijing Olympic Games, is a full-time resident athlete at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in California and has been shooting the Formula System with great success for a period of months.
