2010 ASA, Augusta Georgia
Once again, on the fourth stop of the ASA tour, Hoyt shooters were topping the podium. In the Men’s Open Pro division, Hoyt Pro Staffers Danny Evans and Chris Hacker had stellar performances. At the start of day two, Evans made a huge jump from 17th to 2nd place, shooting a 220/240. “My Contender Elite was shooting awesome. On day two I hit eleven twelve’s in a row… this is the best shooting bow ever” said Evans. Hacker finished in 3rd place, just one twelve ring behind Evans.
In the largest pro class in the ASA, Hoyt shooter Steve Scott led the charge in the Senior Pro division. Going into the shoot-down round, Scott was tied with Hoyt Pro staffer and 3-D legend, Allen Conner. After the final arrow was scored, Scott had a comfortable fourteen-point lead and his first 1st place finish in the Senior Pro division. “I told my wife before I left for Augusta that I knew I was going to win” said Scott. Conner finished in 3rd making his second podium finish and fourth top-ten for the season.
In the Women’s Open Pro, Alicia McHenry, arguably the most successful women’s 3-D shooter of all time, once again found herself in the dominant position. McHenry finished with a four-point lead and not far behind was fellow Hoyt Pro Staffer Sonya Wright finishing in 4th.
Hoyt Pro Staffer Keith Trail dominated the Known 50 division. Trail went into day two ranked in 2nd place and just a few points out of the lead. Trail turned on the heat and finished 1st with a 14 point lead.
