Formula Gold haul reaches 24 for season

Echmiadzin, Armenia- June 26 2010

At the second leg of the European Grand Prix series held in the province of Yerevan, Armenia, Hoyt shooters have dominated with three of the four gold medals in the individual categories.

In the Compound Women's division, Laura Longo - last year's bronze medalist at the World Outdoor Championship - took the gold, followed her Hoyt teammates Natalya Ardeeva (RUS) with the silver and Giorgia Solato (ITA) with the bronze.

The Compound Men’s division was an all-Italian showdown. Sergio Pagni, last year’s winner of the World Cup Final, did what was expected and finished in the the top spot, edging out his teammate Herian Boccali. Hoyt shooter Pietro Greco rounded out the top three to complete the Hoyt sweep.

The Women’s Recurve division was the domain of yet another Italian and Hoyt Pro Staff shooter, Pia Carmen Lionetti.  With a great display of accuracy from her Formula, Pia brought home the gold for Italy.

Pia 's achievement, along with the Ukraine women's team gold medal winning performance, pushes the total gold medal haul for Formula Series to 24 gold medals- a performance completely unmatched by any other new model bow!
