Team Hoyt Takes Charge at Commonwealth Games!

New Delhi, India – The highly coveted, much anticipated Commonwealth Games recently concluded, and, amid intense competition a field consisting of the world's top target archers, a number of Team Hoyt shooters triumphed in both individual and team competition.
A duo of Hoyt shooters climbed the podium in the Women’s Compound Division. Nicky Hunt (GBR) won gold, while Doris Jones (CAN) joined her on the podium with a silver-medal finish.
In the Men’s Compound Division, Team Hoyt’s Seppie Cilliers (RSA) won bronze, Jay Lyons (CAN) won silver in the Men’s Recurve ranks, and Alison Williamson (GBR) won the silver medal in the Women’s Recurve Division.
Team Hoyt fared equally well in the team competitions. Team Hoyt’s ladies crushed the competition in the Women’s Team Compound Division, as Team Great Britain won the gold medal, Team Canada took home the silver, and Team India won the bronze.
Team India took home the silver in the Men’s Team Compound Division, while Seppie Cilliers and Jacobus de Wet won bronze for South Africa.
In Men’s Team Recurve competition, team Australia enjoyed a solid gold medal-winning performance, while Amy Oliver and Alison Williamson helped propel Team Great Britain to the bronze medal.
Shadowed only by the Olympics in terms of importance and anticipation, the Commonwealth Games are a major event in the target archery world. Team Hoyt would like to congratulate all of its shooters on their incredible performance!
