Hoyt's Danny McCARTHY
Heavy winds and the spotlight of hundreds of fans didn’t stop Danny McCARTHY from taking first place at the ASA Pro-AM in Paris, Texas this past weekend. Danny and his Hoyt Contender Elite took first place on the top step of the podium after their previous podium-topping performance at the Louisiana ASA event last month.
“My Hoyt held steady and was drilling my arrows exactly where I wanted them” said Danny, who won in spite of a high fever and what turned out to be an oncoming case of pneumonia. “I’ll be ready for Augusta later this month” said the ailing McCarthy, beaming despite his illness.
Hoyt’s Tim Gillingham had a solid 4th place in Open pro making it a great start to the outdoor season.
Hoyt shooter Justin BETHEL took his second straight ASA Semi-pro victory and is well on his way to Open Pro class for next season, with an overwhelming six-point lead.
In the K50 class, Hoyt shooters were first and second, with Sam Wolthuis taking the win and Daniel Mathews taking second.
