Swirling, tricky winds didn’t stop Team Hoyt from totally dominating the Gator Cup with some of the highest scores in US archery history this past weekend. Hoyt’s Brady ELLISON continued to demonstrate his technical and physical domination of the game wielding his FORMULA RX bow to a 1357 FITA round- the second highest score by a US athlete ever. Brady’s Hoyt Teammates Jake KAMINSKI and Joe FANCHIN rounded out the top three in men’s recurve, while Hoyt’s Karen SCAVOTTO and Khatuna LORIG took silver and bronze.
On the compound side, it was another New World Record for Hoyt Pro Shooter and reigning World Champion Reo WILDE, scoring 708 points in the second half of the 50 meter FITA qualification round. In the eliminations, Team Hoyt’s Ben CLELAND took the gold medal, while Hoyt’s Shane WILLS took the Bronze. Team Hoyt’s compound women continue their total podium domination this season, with Jamie Van NATTA, Kailey JOHNSTON and Christie COLIN taking gold, silver and bronze.
