Team Hoyt Takes Lancaster 2012 Titles
Total Sweep of #1 Premiere Positions
Lancaster, PA, January 30 2012
Team Hoyt, led by Reo Wilde and Erika Anschutz, stormed to the top of each of the premiere categories in the 9th annual Lancaster Archery Classic conducted in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country. With nearly all major American pro archers setting their sights on this event, it’s a hotly contested tournament- but once again, Team Hoyt swept a majority of the medals including every first place finish for Men’s Unlimited, Women’s Unlimited, Compound Limited, and Recurve.
In Men’s unlimited, Reo WILDE came off his tremendous finals performance in Nimes, France to take first place in Lancaster, with a decisive victory- a perfect match score in the final to take the gold. Third was Hoyt’s Jesse Broadwater, one of the most-winning shooters of 2011.
Women’s unlimited was dominated by America’s #1 compound woman, Erika ANSCHUTZ, scoring a first-place victory over fellow Hoyt shooter Stephanie GALLAGHER.
Recurve featured a close battle between American team veteran Joe McGLYN and USA Resident Athlete Jake KAMINSKI, with World silver medalist McGLYN taking the victory. McGlyn’s nephew and up-and-coming American youth shooter Ben CHU finished third.
The keenly contested compound limited category was won by Hoyt shooter Chris RUNION.
Hoyt wishes to congratulate all competitors and Lancaster Archery Supply for another excellent and successful Lancaster Archery Classic!
