The sun was out and the heat was on at the International Bowhunting Organizations (I.B.O.) First Leg of the National Triple Crown in Bedford, Indiana.
Competition started on Saturday and after 30 targets, Hoyt’s Cara Fernandez of the Women’s Pro class, was in second place by a mere three points. Fernandez with her Hoyt turned up the heat on Sunday and bagged her sixth win of the 2012 season. This win also marks Fernandez’s sixth win in a row on the I.B.O. tournament trail.
In the Male Pro Division, Hoyt’s Richard Leftwich and Tim Gillingham had impressive first day performances. After an extremely challenging range of ten targets on Sunday, Hoyt’s Tim Gillingham and his Vantage Elite secured a second place podium finish.
