With temperatures reaching into the 100’s team Hoyt came to battle at the Illinois ASA Pro-Am in Metropolis, the home of Superman.
After the first day of competition Hoyt’s Allen Conner, Tim Gillingham, Danny Evans, Danny McCarthy and Aime Whittington were all in excellent position for the second day of competition.
In the Senior Pro division, Hoyt’s Allen Conner did what he does best and fought through the heat to take the lead going into the shoot down and took his second victory of the season. This marks Allen’s forth shoot down appearance of the year and puts him in excellent contention for the ASA shooter of the year.
Team Hoyt represented three out of the top five spots in the male pro shoot down. After a spectacular battle and a final arrow resulting a 14 ring, Hoyt’s Tim Gillingham claimed second place. Danny McCarthy and his Alpha Elite placed third, marking his fifth top five of the season. Hoyt’s Danny Evans fresh off his victory at the IBO rounded out the top five.
In the Woman’s Pro division, Hoyt’s Aime Whittington had two excellent rounds, making the shoot down round for the first time this year. After impressive shooting, Aime was able to hold her fifth spot and rack up her first top five of season. In addition, Hoyt’s Cara Fernandez turned up the heat on Sunday with a sixth place finish and extending her ASA shooter of the year lead.
