On his third trip to the Paralympic Games with two bronze medals already under his belt, Hoyt Pro Staff compound shooter Jeff Fabry was ready for gold. After making a perfect shot to win his first set, Fabry clinched his semi-final match 7-3. Fabry was in danger of dropping out of the tournament after his bow was damaged immediately after the semi-final match. He was however, able to get his replacement in time and eventually took Gold with a final set of 6-2.
In the Women’s Individual Compound category, Hoyt shooters Danielle Brown and Mel Clarke, (both GBR) faced each other in the Gold Medal final. It was a close match with both women showing amazing accuracy. Brown eventually won the Gold with a final score of 6 to 4. Brown’s win notches her second Gold Medal in her Paralympic career.
Hoyt would like to congratulate all participants of the 2012 London Paralympics, organizers and volunteers that made this event possible.
