USA Archery Field Nationals and World Field Championship Team Trials were held at the scenic Blaschke Exotic Deer Farm in Eagle Lake, Texas this past weekend, and Hoyt shooters battled it out for 3 days to claim their spots on the team that will compete this August in Zagreb, Croatia for the title of World Champion.
Earning his second straight National Championship in Men’s Compound was Team Hoyt’s Jesse Broadwater, shooting his trusted Pro Comp Elite FX that also earned him a win at Redding three weeks prior. Hot on his heels and claiming the second spot on the USA team was Hoyt employee Steve Anderson.
In Women’s Compound, Jamie Van Natta was dominant all weekend and also won her second straight National Field Championship with her Pro Comp Elite XL. Hoyt shooter Hunter Jackson placed second.
Continuing the trend of back-to-back National Championships, Team Hoyt’s Brady Ellison ran away with the Victory in Men’s Recurve, while Team Hoyt Teammate and World Field Medalist Jake Kaminski came in second.
Not to be outdone by Broadwater, Van Natta and Ellison, Team Hoyt’s Heather Koehl took her second consecutive National Championship in the Women’s Recurve division. Hoyt shooter Alison Eaton placed second.
