Mike Schloesser Beats Jr. World Record and Ties Sr. World Record

Team Hoyt shooter, reigning Outdoor World Champion and 2014 Las Vegas Champion- Mike Schloesser (NED) shot a Junior World Record score this past weekend of 1419 out of 1440 at the Dutch Nationals. The 1440 round is retired for World Archery competition, however, it is still shot at various national events around the world. The round consist of 36 arrows at each distance of 90m/70m/50m/30m, a perfect score being 1440.

Schloesser scored 347 at 90m, 357 at 70m, 355 at 50m and 360 at 30m. Schloesser was already the world record holder with a 1414 which he shot last season. His 1419 ties the current Senior world record which is held by fellow Dutch team mate and Hoyt Pro Staffer, Peter Elzinga.

Along with shooting a new world record, Schloesser went on to win the Dutch Nationals the next day in the elimination round.
