GROUND VENISON CASSEROLE
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 pound ground venison
2 ¼ cups cooked rice (3/4 cup raw rice)
1 large can tomatoes (2 ½ cups)
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon onion salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3 strips bacon
Brown ground venison and onion in one tablespoon oil. Mix with cooked rice, tomatoes, and seasonings. Place in 1 1/2 quart casserole and top with bacon. Bake at 375 degrees until bacon is crisp (about 30 minutes). Serves six.
