HOYT: How’s your summer going?
RALPH & VICKI: Our summer has been CRAZY! We haven’t been home very much. With photo shoots, appearances and seminars, we’ve only had one weekend off. But we’re not complaining, that’s for sure. We love what do, and we’re very blessed! When we do get home, it’s non-stop filming for the shows and trying to catch up with all the emails and calls. And in between all this, we’re shooting our Hoyts and getting ready for the fall season. Yeah baby!
HOYT: What has the Cianciarulo crew been up to?
Ralph & Vicki: Non-stop action! Ralph had his knee surgery this past February down at Southern Joint & Bone Specialists in Dothan, Alabama. Dr. Chris Robinson, a friend and hunting partner, had fun working on Ralph’s ACL and meniscus. But as you all know, Ralph didn’t wait long enough and in early May he re-injured his meniscus. So now, Dr. Chris gets to work with him again … but not until after hunting season! Our son R.J. wrapped up his baseball season with his buddies and is now shooting and having fun soaking up the rest of his summer vacation. Vicki has been trying to keep up with all of R.J.’s activities, all the office craziness and keep Ralph on schedule, which has become a major project!
HOYT: What appearances have you made recently?
Ralph & Vicki: We’ve been all over the country doing appearances. We recently returned from Cabela’s in Michigan, where we had a great time seeing our friends and fans. We also headed down to Simmon’s Sporting Goods in Louisiana on August 14 & 15 for Hoyt, and we’re traveling to the Cabela’s in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on the August 21 & 22. After that, it’ll be Hoyts, cameras and action as we get ready to rock & roll for the rest of the year!
HOYT: How was the ever-popular POSSE BASH? Can you give our readers a quick overview of what it is?
Ralph & Vicki: This year’s annual POSSE BASH was the best one ever! We had our sponsors in, and of course our POSSE members, and for four days we all were swamped with filming techniques and new ideas, product discussions, seminars, group discussions and the now famous POSSE BASH Awards Banquet on Saturday night. We want to thank all our POSSE members and sponsors for making this a great event that continues to grow every year.
The POSSE BASH is where we all get together and go over new filming ideas and techniques, everyone meets and talks with our sponsors and we have product discussions, share new ideas, and mingle with everyone. It has grown a lot over the past eight years or so, and has really become an industry-leading concept. On Saturday night, we have the BASH with a new theme every year. HOYT: Which hunts are first on your calendar this fall?
Ralph & Vicki: Vicki starts out in Wyoming with Table Mountain Outfitters and she is going to let her Viczen take out one of their prairie goats with good friend Brenda Potts. Ralph will start in Colorado at Cela Vista for elk with good friend Hal Gahm. Then we’re both off to MacMillan River Adventures in the Yukon for giant moose and grizzly. Then Ralph heads back up to Renfro’s Alaskan Adventures to try for his brown bear with his Hoyt. Next, Vicki & Ralph are both in Quebec for caribou and from that point, it’s all deer hunting everywhere you could imagine. We’ll be sure to keep you posted!
HOYT: Your Website has some really cool new features. What can your Web visitors expect to see at the Archer’s Choice site?
Ralph & Vicki: Our guys at the studio really out-did themselves and introduced our new Website. We are so pumped about it! Gary and Eric did a great job and we are loaded with new content, tons of video, history, POSSE bios, outfitter and product information, bloopers, hunt diaries … you name it, it’s on www.archerschoice.com.
HOYT: Anything else you’d like to share?
Ralph & Vicki: Everyone here at Archer’s Choice and The CHOICE TV shows – and the entire crew and POSSE at AC Media Inc. – want to wish everyone a very safe and successful hunting season.
