HOYT SPLIT LIMB TECHNOLOGY

Hoyt's patented 3/4" Split Limb Technology provides for an effective overall width of 2¼ inches, creating much more lateral and torsional stability than that of a traditional 1½ inch solid limb design. The 3/4" Split Limb design also eliminates the vulnerable v-groove and limb bolt groove or hole where failure most often occurs on traditional solid limbs. 3/4" Split Limbs are lighter, more efficient and provide increased arrow speeds, durability and accuracy.

Five Layer Lamination

We craft our custom XT Series limbs with our proprietary 5 Layer Lamination process. The limbs are contoured, or pre-stressed, and engineered with Uniform Stress Distribution (USD) Technology, creating even stress distribution across the length of the limbs when they’re flexed. This totally eliminates the “hot spots” that compromise the durability of traditional solid limbs. XT Series limbs are the strongest, most reliable high-performance limbs you’ll find anywhere.

  1. Initially, the limb begins as a pre-stressed, contoured limb.
  2. The limb becomes straighter as more load is applied.
  3. The more load (bend), the more energy is stored throughout the entire length of the limb.
  4. At full draw, the limb harnesses more power and produces more speed with reduced stress on the limbs.
